ABOUT US

We are the Nyanfore and Nimley family. We are happy to bring you the story about us and the history of our people. We tell the story about our family, about our ancestors, their place and country of birth, the journey of their descendants, and the culture and tradition, which they have passed on to us and have made us to be who we are and to remember from where they came. If you are a family member or a friend of the family and have family information, please feel free to contact us.

SPECIAL DEDICATION

We dedicate this website to Gloria Juah Doe, Gwen Lee, and Famatta Passawe, original members of the Nyanfore-Nimley Genealogical Research Team for preparation of this website. They are no longer with us; they have gone to be with the ancestors. They are, however, with us in spirit. We are indebted to their commitment and dedication to this project.

Gloria was a Nyanfore; she was a granddaughter of Princess Nyanfore Boryonoh and conducted original research on the family. Gwen was a Nimley. She was a granddaughter of Doe Nimley, son of Dagbayonoh Nimley, brother of King Dagbayonoh Nyanfore. Gwen was born in the US. She collected information and conducted interviews with the family in America. Famatta was a Nyanfore. Like Gloria, she was a granddaughter of Nyanfore Boryonoh. Famatta also provided information on her grandmother and the family in general in Liberia.

Gloria, Gwen, and Famatta will rise up in spirit.  They "will rise up like the waves" running forcefully down. Their bones shall rise up, their voices will be heard, and their story will be told by us through this website.
